Since the 2005 vintage, this wine has been a fundamental piece in the history of Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo and is the maximum expression of the terroir.
Using grapes from the first Touriga Nacional single-vine vineyards planted in the Douro Demarcated Region, now 45 years old, in a 1.5-hectare plot with east-west solar exposure, it uses a mixture of clones with very low productivity, with very small clusters of grapes and small berries.
Unique, this highly concentrated lot of Touriga Nacional, combined with centuries-old vines results in a very elegant, almost feminine profile, contrasting with an intense structure of succulent tannins of enormous precision.
The high gravity schist texture, the sapphire profile and the purple colour are well reflected in the nature of the Touriga Nacional grape variety.
